So, last night we took the boys to get gifts for their teachers(yes, I went too!). It was so precious to see them as they both have teachers that are very pretty! My boys LOVE their teachers! I can I say that both of my boys are "ladies men". Tyler went for what I would call the "natural" approach: the fuuny card, a thoughful paper weight, and CHOCOLATE! Aiden went for the "sweet" approach: the sweet card, a rose, a balloon, and of course CHOCOLATE! It was so cute to see their personalities played out in the gifts they chose.
Aiden is a sweetie. He is such a lovey, dovey kid. He is the one that is constantly rubbing my hand, kissing me on the cheek, telling me he loves me! He is like that with anyone he loves. He could win anyone over with his hugs! (And a rose wouldnt hurt either).
Then, there is Tyler! All the girls flock to him because is just easy to get along with. He once gave Michual dating advice: "Michual, first you have to act normal. Then, you have to talk to them. Next, you got to hold their hand". Not bad, huh? Did I mention he was 6 at the time?
My pre-teen and teenager are quite the ladies men themselves too but for fear of being killed by two teenage boys, I will say no comment! :)
Brendon and I are taking pride in raising our boys to respect women and hopefully, one day love their wives like Christ loves the church! And by the looks of things so far, we are doing a pretty good job! :)

What a week!
This has been a very long stressful week. Monday started off with Brendon going to his Neurosurgeon appointment. We got very good news. The doctor felt like his pain is coming from a torn muscle as opposed to a ruptured disc. We are praising God for this. He is going to undergo physical therapy for two weeks and see if that helps and then go from there.
I underwent surgery on Tuesday which ended up being a more extensive procedure than what they first thought. It went from being an outpatient procedure to me staying in the hospital for 3 days. I am finally home and doing fairly well. I have at least 6 weeks of recovery. This should, however, fix my problems once and for all and after years of dealing with this, I am extremely thankful.
In the midst of all this, we had two "winter storms" this week and some of the coldest temps yet. I think we had a total of about 7 inches resulting from the two "snow storms". LOL! At least we were able to make a pretty cool snowman ! (Notice the skateboard). The kids only went to school one day this week. But they are honestly getting tired of the snow. Aiden asked this week when it was going to warm up. I was asking the same thing. Then Tyler said, "Man, that groundhog was wrong. We need a new one." Hehe! AGREED!
Oh and how could I forget! The PACKERS won the Superbowl, Whoo Hoo! We had a surprise Superbowl party for my grandaddy who has been a Packer fan forever! Not to mention, the rest of us were pretty stoked too! And if you watched any of the game, you know as a Packer fan this game was extremely stressful!
Here is to the next week being a lot less stressful and a lot more fun!

Hey everyone, I finally did it. I started a blog. We have family and friends all over the country so I thought this would be a great way for everyone to keep up with the famous or infamous tales of the Timby family. So, here is what is going on in this crazy life we lead. Brendon and I just started teaching the middle school lifegroup at church. We absolutely love working with teenagers and feel we have a special calling for this group. Michual, 15, is in HIGH SCHOOL!! He is in his freshman year at Madison Academic. His "life" right now is his guitar.. He is very talented and currently playing in the youth band at church. Jonathan, 12, is about to start soccer and is just around the corner from be a TEENAGER!!! Tyler, 7, is the youngest teenager we know. He is always coming up with things and keeps us all very entertained. We are awaiting results from his IQ test for the gifted program at school. Aiden just turned 6 and is in toughest, sweetest little boy we all know! He just got done playing football. I see a future Heisman trophy winner!
We are all counting the days till we are Disney bound, 110 days to be exact!!! YAY! This will be the kids and Brendon's first time to go! I cant wait to see their faces.
We have more snow in the last month than this area has seen in several years which means lots of snow days for the kids. They havent been to school for a full week since they came back from Christmas break. So needless to say, they have been HAPPY!!!!!
There is always something exciting going on around this house, definitely never a dull moment! Stayed tune to hear all about our TimbyTales!!!!!!
